"Margaret, are you grieving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?"
-Gerard Hopkins, 1918
Alternating Skulls and flowers tightly embrace and waltz around your fingers, featuring 8 teensy diamonds in the eyes of the skulls and centers of the flowers. It's both tough yet refined, super sparkly and understated enough for everyday wear.
10k Yellow Gold
Made to order: Unless your size is marked "ready to ship", please allow up to 3 weeks production time (although often sooner) as each piece is created just for you.
Hand carved over the course of a year, it's only fitting that this band share our namesake. "Goldengrove" taken from the 1918 poem "Spring & Fall" below:
Margaret, are you grieving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?
Leaves, like the things of man, you
With your fresh thoughts care for, can you?
Ah! as the heart grows older
It will come to such sights colder
By and by, nor spare a sigh
Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie;
And yet you will weep know why.
Now no matter, child, the name:
Sorrow’s springs are the same.
Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed
What heart heard of, ghost guessed:
It is the blight man was born for,
It is Margaret you mourn for.
- Gerard Manly Hopkins, 1918
